Much of our ministry throughout the year is building up to this climactic event. The time and investments we have made in people help us build enough trust that they are excited about spending a week with us at camp. English Camp creates an atmosphere and a dynamic where relationships with people can be built in a short time, which otherwise might have taken months. Ukrainians get away from their homes for a week, some of which are not very pleasant places to be, and have the privilege of being around God’s people for awhile, away from the usual routine of life. We have great opportunities in this place to speak into lives, show them Christ’s unconditional love, and let our lights shine!
It is not necessary for a person to be an English teacher to serve at these outreaches. If you are a Christian and a native English Speaker this may be the short-term mission opportunity you’ve been looking for! Come this summer ready to be stretched and blessed and make a bunch of new friends! This is one form of short-term missions well worth the resources you’ll invest.
