MIA MISSION STATEMENT: To disciple the friends we gain in Ukraine with Gospel clarity.
In a word our mission is to advance the Gospel in individual’s hearts through the expansion of Eden in Ukraine. Our highest objective and earnest desire is that God’s name be great among the nations (Mal. 1:11), and that the Lamb receive the full reward for His sufferings (Rev. 7:9–10)!
According to Revelation 7:9 every ethnic tongue on earth will worship the Risen Lamb! These are the nations God promised to Abraham!
God’s desire is to take the Gospel to every single people group on earth and he will most certainly accomplish this. (Mt 24:14)
As an outward being He sends His church forth into the world with this objective in mind. (Jn 17:18, 20:21)
One primary mission of the church is missions whether that be by going, giving, praying or all of the above. This includes missions locally and abroad. (Mt 28:19)
Missions is fueled and driven by the Gospel and a lifestyle of abiding in God’s presence. (Acts 1:8, John 15:1-8)
We are simply doing our small part of God’s grand narrative by bringing the Gospel to those who have not heard it and discipling those who have already received Christ in Odessa, Ukraine. (Rom 10:14)
Contrary to some beliefs, Ukraine is largely an unreached country, being as the Gospel message is not clearly or accurately taught, or what is more often than not taught is a works based gospel, which according to Paul is no gospel at all.(Gal 1:7,8)
Missiologists state the best way to advance the Gospel in a community is to plant Bible teaching churches with a healthy missional emphasis and multiply leaders.(Rom 15:19-20)
Today there is a focus on planting in urban areas, which become a hub, impacting the surrounding regions.(Acts 14:21)
Ultimately this is our goal, to plant a church. To plant a church we must win converts.(Acts 9:31)
Missiologists also realize the value of effectively doing cross-cultural outreach by contextualizing your approach and by meeting felt needs in the community.(Jn 1:14)
This requires assessing accurately what the felt needs in an area are.(1 Cor 9:20)
Understanding the needs of the Ukrainian people, the political climate and what is available in Ukraine, we believe Life Centers which meet multiple felt needs and bring a steady traffic of people is an exponentially fruitful way of reaching the lost in Odessa.
Ukraine’s people have been taught for centuries that protestants/evangelicals are a sect. The first hurdle is to overcome this barrier by building relationships with people, earning their trust, and becoming their friends.
MIA’s mission is to start Life Centers with various programs to create opportunities for our team to build a reputation in the city, make new friendships, and disciple people in the faith of all ages.
From these Life Center’s the felt needs which can be met are endless, creating the foundation to grow existing church partnerships in the city, plant a new church and a discipleship bootcamp program.
Our goal is to build partnerships with churches of various denominational affiliations as a para-church cross cultural ministry and raise up indigenous missional leaders and servants in Ukraine. We can only accomplish this through these partnerships.
We are praying for a team of 12 full time missionaries to join us on the field for the long-term who have owned the vision for themselves and are trained and ready to pray, worship, fellowship and co-labor with us.
We are praying for thousands of financial partners and numerous life long relationships with churches to fuel short-term missions opportunities, which are fruitful and a worthy use of the Churches resources.
We plan to find three locations in different areas of the city to reach different communities and rotate programs throughout these locations. We plan to rent, not own, in order to be more mobile should the need arise to relocate. This plan may change slightly according to the current political situations in Ukraine.
There are many opportunities for ministry with Mission Impact Alliance.
